OUR STORY
Julian Stephens is a professional jeweller creating unique pieces for sale in his self-titled Jewelry Shop ' Julian Stephens Goldsmith since 2003. In 2014 Barnaby Simpson Joined the team bringing his own unique creative angle to the workshop followed by fresh 2017 Graduate Pierpaolo Belfiore.
Jewellery evening classes have been an integral part of the shop for many years, with a focus on students being able to enjoy a relaxed environment while being guided by professionals to make pieces of jewellery that surpass their expectations- and importantly have fun doing it.
There are plenty of jewellery shops in and around Brighton, however, there is nowhere that teaches you how to make your own. North Laine Jewellery School creates an exciting opportunity for people to get creative, learn and hone their skills.
LOCATION
North Laine Jewellery School is located in the heart of Brightons North Laines. A five minute walk from Brighton Station & a 10-minute walk to the city centre. North Laine Jewellery School is truly in the middle of everything. Surrounded by cafes, shops and some of Brightons greatest sightseeing spots, there are many things around to keep you busy on breaks.

Julian opened his shop in 2003 after ten years in the trade working first as a silversmith making trophies and church ware, and then as a fine jeweller.‘In 2003 my ambition was to create a state-of-the-art workshop apable of producing the very finest quality jewellery’. Julian has a team of talented makers turning their skills to realize Julian’s designs both for the window and one-off bespoke pieces.

Pierpaolo came to us fresh out of Plumpton college after winning the Micheal Bloomstein award for – jewellery. Since then he has honed his skills and become, in our humble opinions, one of the best stone setters in Brighton. His Italian charm keeps the workshop playful all year round.

ADMINISTRATOR
Katie can often be found on the front desk, helping customers pick out the perfect piece of jewellery, but she also works hard behind the scenes to keep all of the classes at the North Laine Jewellery School running smoothly. We would be lost here without Katie keeping us all on track!
